Oakwood Manor is well known as being the finest mobile home community in Sarasota, an oasis in the heart of the city.
Our mortgage is paid, we have our new entrance/exit at Lockwood Ridge and a restaurant-style kitchen.
From its inception in 1970 as an outlying property on a two lane road, this has become a showplace of manufactured homes. Since the residents bought this 90 acre park in 1988, it has been managed by an elected Board of Directors with a paid manager, staff and maintenance.
Through the years many residents have come and gone, but one constant is the wonderful life-style and feeling of community living, of care and compassion, neighbor to neighbor.
Volunteers abound and with more than 30 activities, one can see there is always something to do in Oakwood Manor - the hidden treasure of Sarasota!
